The kids went to bed early last night so they would be plenty of sleep to get them through their busy day. :-) At 6:00 my alarm went off, music blaring. It was still dark outside. "Is it really 6:00 already?" I thought. I closed my eyes as I tried to adjust to the early morning. Just then, I hear "Mom!" Aidan has come up to me on my side of the bed. "Huh" I mutter. "I'm all ready!" He goes on to say, "I have on my navy shirt, my navy shorts, my socks, I've done my hair and washed my face!" "Oh good. What time is it?" I reply. "6:02!" he exclaims. Aidan was definitely ready to go back to school. :-)
Aidan went straight to his classroom. Ethan got to play in the school yard a little bit. He loves to climb on the jungle gym.
I stopped by the school on my lunch break to check on the kids. Aidan was playing outside with his friends. As usually, he came running over to say hi. Then I went over to see Ethan playing in his play area. He was having a great time. I was just in time to watch him begin P.E. All the stretching and touching of toes was fun to watch. :-)
When I asked Ethan how he liked school today, he said "Good. It was too long." I have a feeling they are going to sleep good tonight.
