Pumpkin Patches and Corn Mazes

On October 18th, we went on a family field trip to a Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze.

We got up that morning and Dad said, "We're leaving between 9:30 and 10:00" but wouldn't tell us where we were going. Bringing jackets, snacks, and the camera, we loaded up in the car and traveled over to Lake County, along the Scotts Valley Road, and came upon the Sutton Family Farm. They have a fruit stand, a pumpkin patch, a corn maze, a couple of wagons on display, as well as some John Deere Tractors!

It's a fun little place. They had carved pumpkins displayed as well as photo ops.

The corn maze is set up so that while winding around, you can also play a word clue game, a picture finding game, and a word scramble game. There are poles throughout the maze with pictures, a question, and a letter of the alphabet. It was really fun running around trying to find all the letters in order to scramble the word. I won't tell you the answer in case you go! I wouldn't want to spoil your fun. When we came out, they kids got to pick out a prize from the witches calderon.

They also have a miniature horse, a donkey and a goat.

Just before leaving we picked out some pumpkins and gourds.
