Halloween Fun!

We have a fun time at Halloween . . . costumes, candy, and lots of trick or treaters. We had Halloween twice this year. The kids participated in a Halloween parade at school as well as classroom parties. And we did it all again on Sunday.

As you know, we live in a video gaming household. It has it's drawbacks, but this year, it proved to be fun. Look who came to visit??????

It's Mario and Luigi!!!!

Trick or Treat!

Doing a little jump like they do on their video games.

Ethan's classmates all dressed up before their party and parade.

My little Mario!

Ethan is busy counting all the items in his witches brew. They sang a song, and then drew and colored all the items in their cauldron.

Aidan's classmates all dressed up before their party and parade. Aidan is on the far right. Another boy dressed up as Luigi also.

Aidan's class made little salt dough pumpkins.

My very own Luigi!

Enjoying a yummy cupcake!

Time for the parade to start. Since it was raining, the students walked through each classroom so the other students could see their costumes.

Aidan's class starting out.

The teachers have a theme every year in which they dress up. A few years ago, they all dressed up as angels. Last year they all dressed up as chefs. This year they all dressed up as San Francisco Giant's Fans! Ethan's teacher is third from the right in the back row (white shirt), Aidan's teacher is second from the right in the front row, AND their kindergarten teacher is second from the left in the back row, with the blonde hair! :-)

While trick or treating at Downtown Merchants, Ethan spotted a real cannon. We had to take a picture!

By Sunday they were ready to do it all again. We started getting "Trick or Treaters" around 4 (young children) and then we headed out about 5:30 to do our own trick or treating. Here they are approaching one of the neighborhood houses.

They looked so cute. Everyone commented "Mario - Luigi!" all night. . . .
They were being good sports and wearing their mustaches.
One of our last stops for the night was our friends, Chloe and Jack. They had a cute pumpkin on their steps. It was so fun to get a picture of them together!
